Inclusion of TEPIX III in the ‘Competitiveness’ Programme

The Decision to Include the Entrepreneurship Fund III (TEPIX III) in the ‘Competitiveness’ Programme of the NSRF 2021-2027 has been published. The objective of the Fund is creating financing means to support and develop small and medium enterprises, small midcaps, midcaps and newly established enterprises, as well as facilitating their access to sources of funding.

The initial budget of the Fund amounts to €500 million. Further leverage through the banking system is expected to generate a loan portfolio of €2.1 billion. It is noted that TEPIX III is a portfolio fund, initially operated with the participation of the Guarantee Fund (up to €300 million) and, subsequently, of the Co-Financing Fund (up to €200 million).  TEPIX III will provide interest-subsidised loans for purposes of both working capital and investment plans. To compare, the TEPIX II fund, which was active during the previous programming period, provided only co-funded loans.

TEPIX III is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union.
