This call is addressed to operators of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHS) that are funded by the “Digital Europe” Programme, with which Greece participates in the European network, in order to join and receive funding under the “Competitiveness” Programme, the “ERDF” Fund and the Action: 2-1.2-04- 2-1.2-04: DEVELOPMENT OF A NETWORK OF EUROPEAN DIGITAL INNOVATION HUBS (EDIHS) AND THE CENTRAL MECHANISM FOR SUPPORT OF DIGITAL INNOVATION
This Action promotes the development of a network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHS) through the strengthening of EDIHS through which Greece participates in the European network and for which funding has been approved under the ‘Digital Europe’ Programme, so that they can receive up to 100% funding as synergy projects.
The “Digital Europe” programme is established by Regulation 2001/694. The programme’s general objectives are to support and accelerate the digital transformation of the European economy, industry and society, transfer its benefits to citizens, public administrations and enterprises throughout the Union, and improve Europe’s competitiveness in the global digital economy, while also helping to bridge the digital divide throughout the Union and strengthening its strategic autonomy through holistic, cross-sector and cross-border support and a stronger contribution from the Union.
Based on the above, this Action aims at funding EDIHS that are funded by the “Digital Europe” Programme at a rate of up to 50%, with which Greece participates in the European network, in order to cover the remaining percentage of their eligible budget from the ERDF, in synergy with the “Digital Europe” Programme.
