The 1st amendment to the Call for Action ‘Green Productive Investment of SMEs’ of the ‘Competitiveness 2021-2027’ Programme has been published. The amendment to the Call adds section “5.2 ELIGIBLE AREAS OF ACTIVITY FOR TOURIST ACCOMMODATIONS (in accordance with Law 4276/2014, as in force),” according to which investment plans with Investment Activities Code (KAD 55) of the Tourism Sector must comply with the following conditions:
Main hotel accommodations:
- Hotels (Category 4**** (four-star) and above, Capacity Twelve (12) beds and above)
- Hotel tourist accommodations within traditional buildings provided for in Presidential Decree 33/1979
- Organised tourist camping (Category 3*** (three-star) and above)
- Youth hostels
Non-main hotel accommodations
- Self-catering accommodations – furnished tourist residences (Minimum number of residences: Three – 3)
Note that all self-catering accommodations – furnished tourist residences must be included under the same Tourism Enterprise Registry Badge (MITE).
- Furnished rooms and apartments for rent (Category 4 keys and above, Minimum capacity of 12 beds).
The amendment to the Call also includes changes to the Eligible Expenditure Categories. More specifically, it is stipulated that the purchase of any type of new boat or vessel which is less than 7 meters (leisure, wooden, motorized, sailboat, etc.) is not eligible. Until the investment is completed, the vessel must be registered in the electronic Register of leisure and tourist boats, titled ‘e – Register of Ships’.
In addition, the procurement of 100% electric self-propelled vehicles is eligible, especially for investment projects in a car/bus rental activity, under the following conditions:
- The vehicle must be new, unused and owned by the company
- The vehicle must be used exclusively by business customers.
The amendment to the Call also includes changes to the Required Submission/Inclusion Supporting Documents, the Table of ranking criteria, etc.
The ‘Green Productive Investment of SMEs’ Action 2, which belongs to Package of Actions ‘Green Transition of SMEs’ promotes investment projects aimed at the utilisation and development of modern technologies, the upgrading of products and/or services and their activities, by subsidising actions that utilise modern technologies, infrastructure, and best practices in energy upgrading and circular economy.
Note that the submission of funding applications for the Call begins at 12:00 today Wednesday, 22 March 2023.
The funding application is electronically submitted by potential beneficiaries via the Integrated State Aid Management Information System (OPSKE), by using the standard OPSKE Funding Application Form (ANNEX ΙΙ FUNDING APPLICATION FORM TEMPLATE).
The Action Call will remain open for the submission of applications until the budget per category of the region is exhausted, provided the relevant state aid regulations (651/2014, 1407/2013) remain in effect, incremented by 20% per category of the region.
Every funding application that is submitted will be evaluated in order of priority, pursuant to the date/time of the (final) electronic submission to OPSKE.
