As part of the Competitiveness Programme / 2021-2027 NSRF, interventions to develop skills related to smart specialisation, industrial transition and entrepreneurship will be financed in accordance with European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Specific Objective 1.4. To this end, the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation is organising an event on: “Open Consultation on Smart Specialisation, the Business Discovery Process & Skills in the context of the ERDF Specific Objective 1.4,” which will take place online on Tuesday 22 July 2025 (from 11:30 to 14:30).
The main aim of the event is to examine, through the Business Discovery Process (BDP), the skills-development needs in the eight sectors of the National Smart Specialisation Strategy 2021–2027, as identified by the Advisory Working Groups of the Innovation Platforms of the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation, and to conduct an open consultation on:
– A more comprehensive mapping of skills-development needs in the fields of Smart Specialisation, Industrial Transition, and Entrepreneurship, with emphasis on business needs.
– Identifying target groups, selecting suitable forms of actions and technical specialisation of calls in the context of Specific Objective 1.4 (ERDF) and the Competitiveness Programme (NSRF 2021-2027)
The active participation of businesses, research centres and universities and the competent public sector bodies is particularly important.
