€295.7 million via the Competitiveness Programme to finance 1,573 investment plans as part of the action entitled “Support for the establishment and running of new tourism SMEs”

One thousand five hundred and seventy three (1,573) applications for financing, with a total public expenditure of €295,757,680, were approved by the Decision of the Alternate Minister of Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis, accepting the relevant results following meetings of the ten Evaluation Committees for the action “Support for the Establishment and Operation of New Tourism SMEs” in the Less Developed Regions of: North Aegean, Eastern Macedonia – Thrace, Central Macedonia, Epirus, Thessaly, Western Greece, Crete, Western Macedonia, Ionian Islands, Central Greece, Peloponnese. A total of 5,165 applications with a requested budget of €1,753,746,326.18 and total requested public expenditure of €959,089,150.77 were examined.

This Decision completed evaluation of applications for financing submitted in the context of the specific Action in all 13 Regions of Greece. Of the 6,669 applications for financing submitted, 2,021 were approved, entailing public expenditure of €379,539,901.37.

Note that on 30 May the results for Attica and the Southern Aegean were announced; 448 applications for financing were approved, entailing total public expenditure of €83,782,221.17.

Beneficiaries can learn more online, at the email address provided on the submission form, and via the Integrated State Aid Management Information System (iSAMIS).

Within a fixed deadline of ten (10) days from the day after notification of the outcome of the Results Approval Decision, interested parties may submit an administrative objection (quasi-judicial recourse within the meaning of Article 25 of Law 2690/1999) exclusively via iSAMIS.
