The second (2nd) amendment to the Invitation for the Action “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New Tourism SMEs” has been published; according to the amendment, the areas in Annex X: SPECIAL SUPPORT AREAS (remote areas and small islands) based on Hellenic Post Postal Codes are replaced by the areas included in Council Directive 81/645/EEC of 20 July 1981 concerning the Community list of less-favoured farming areas within the meaning of Directive 75/268/EEC (Greece).

The second (2nd) amendment to the Invitation for submission of applications for funding under the Action “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New SMEs” has been published; according to the amendment, the areas in Annex X: SPECIAL SUPPORT AREAS (remote areas and small islands) based on Hellenic Post Postal Codes are replaced by the areas included in Council Directive 81/645/EEC of 20 July 1981 concerning the Community list of less-favoured farming areas within the meaning of Directive 75/268/EEC (Greece).

The fourth (4th) amendment to the Invitation for the Action “Basic Digital Transformation for SMEs” of the 'Competitiveness' Programme NSRF 2021-2027 has been published; according to the amendment, the total amount of De Minimis aid received by a single enterprise in the past, including any funding from this Action, must not exceed €300,000 within a three-year period from the granting of the legal right to the aid. The amendment to the Invitation includes further changes to the provisions concerning the beneficiaries of the Action, the evaluation process and criteria, the required supporting documents for the disbursement of the aid etc.

The first (1st) amendment to the Invitation for the Action “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New Tourism SMEs” has been published; according to the amendment, the total amount of De Minimis aid received by a single enterprise in the past, including any funding from this Action, must not exceed €300,000 within any given three-year period. If the above threshold is exceeded with the granting of new de minimis aid, this aid may not be subject to the benefits of the regulation.

The Decision to Include the Entrepreneurship Fund III (TEPIX III) in the 'Competitiveness' Programme of the NSRF 2021-2027 has been published. The objective of the Fund is creating financing means to support and develop small and medium enterprises, small midcaps, midcaps and newly established enterprises, as well as facilitating their access to sources of funding.

The Ministry of National Economy and Finance published the announcement for the Action “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New Tourism SMEs”; the action concerns support for entrepreneurship in the tourism sector through the establishment of new micro-, small and medium enterprises with selected activity code numbers (ACN), encouraging entrepreneurship for enterprises that strengthen the capabilities of Greece’ tourism industry and provide reliable, high-quality services that will contribute to the enrichment of Greece’s tourism product and generate new jobs.

The Ministry of National Economy and Finance published the announcement for the Action “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New Small and Medium Enterprises”; the action concerns support for investment plans regarding under-establishment or newly established SMEs (except for those with activity code numbers in retail, the restaurant industry and tourism), which will invest their own resources into their respective sectors and generate new jobs.

The 7th Meeting of the EPAnEK Monitoring Committee came to a successful conclusion; topics presented at the meeting included the progress of implementation, the vital support for entrepreneurship through successive crises and the support for Greece’s infrastructure (in the research, energy, ICT, tourism and culture sectors) as well as the concluding forecast.

The 2nd Meeting of the Monitoring Committee for the Competitiveness Programme (NSRF 2021-2027) came to a successful conclusion; topics presented at the meeting included the progress of implementation, as well as the programming of new Information and Communication Actions and activities. Opinions were exchanged and discussed, and the committee approved the selection criteria for the financial instruments set to be put into action over the following months.

Interested parties are informed that no further applications for funding under the Action “Green Productive Investment for SMEs” in the Less Developed Regions (Northern Aegean, Eastern Macedonia-Thrace, Central Macedonia, Epirus, Thessaly, Western Greece, Crete, Western Macedonia, Ionian Islands, Central Greece, Peloponnese) will be finalised due to exhaustion of the available budget, increased by 20%.

The General Secretariat of Industry of the Ministry of Development is organising a two-day conference on the initiative of the Directorate for Entrepreneurship and Small – Medium Enterprises, titled “National Observatory: Public policy based on reliable data for SMEs”. The conference will be held on 1 – 2 November 2023, from 09:30 – 16:00 in the Auditorium of the National Hellenic Research Foundation.

The Equity Fund-of-Funds – EquiFund is an investment initiative created by the Hellenic Republic in cooperation with the European Investment Fund.  It is co-funded by the EU – ERDF through the programme EPAnEK 2014 – 2020, the European Investment Fund and private investors.  It aims to facilitate access of small and medium enterprises to funding through the development of the Venture Capital/Private Equity market in Greece, in collaboration with specialised Financial Intermediaries (funds).

Interested parties are informed that no further applications for funding under the Action “Green Transition for SMEs” based on Regulation (EU) 1407/2013 (de minimis) in the Less Developed Regions (Northern Aegean, Eastern Macedonia-Thrace, Central Macedonia, Epirus, Thessaly, Western Greece, Crete, Western Macedonia, Ionian Islands, Central Greece, Peloponnese) will be finalised due to exhaustion of the available budget, increased by 20%. Due to the exhaustion of the budget for this category, no more applications submitted for the Action may be finalised.
