EquiFund II is a Fund-of-Funds with portfolio of €200 million, which aims to support innovative enterprises active in two promising sectors of Greece’s economy: a) Life sciences & Healthcare and b) Sustainability & Social impact. The initiative will support these enterprises to enable better access to equity funding and increase their competitiveness by making full use of their development potential.

A Manual has been uploaded to the Integrated State Aid Management Information System (iSAMIS) of the Ministry of Development and Investments, explaining all the required steps interested parties need to follow to submit an application for funding under the Action of Strategic Importance “RESEARCH – INNOVATE” of the 'Competitiveness' Programme.

The new Action “Bilateral Scientific and Technological Cooperation between Greece and Germany” has been published. The Action aims to strengthen the extroversion and competitiveness of the research and innovation system through the development of co-operations between research organisations and enterprises of other countries. More specifically, the Action aims to promote and bolster the collaboration between research organisations and enterprises in Greece and Germany, which employ highly educated scientific personnel. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research is the competent authority for Germany.

Interested parties may begin submitting their electronic applications for funding under all the Interventions of the Action of Strategic Importance “RESEARCH – INNOVATE” of the 'Competitiveness' Programme starting tomorrow, Thursday 06 June 2024 at 12:00.

The invitation for submission of applications for funding under the Action of Strategic Importance “Research – Innovate” of the 'Competitiveness' Programme (NSRF 2021 – 2027) has been published. The Action will be implemented by the Special Research and Innovation Action Management and Implementation Service (EYDE EK).

The Invitation for Submission of Applications for Funding of research projects under the single Action for Research & Innovation “Research – Innovate” of the Competitiveness Programme (NSRF 2021-2027) was signed by the Alternate Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis, an announcement by the Ministry of National Economy and Finance stated.

The Vice-President of the European Investment Bank EIB, Ioannis Tsakiris, the Alternative Minister of National Economy & Finance, Nikos Papathanasis and the Chief Executive of the EIB, Marjut Falkstedt have signed the agreement for the new EquiFund II, to be implemented through the Programme “Competitiveness 2021-2027”.

The minister of National Economy and Finance Kostis Chatzidakis and the alternate minister Nikos Papathanasis presented the draft legislation on the Public Investment Development Programme at a Press Conference today, an announcement by the Ministry of National Economy and Finance stated.

A day event titled “SKILLS CENTRES – Modern Innovation Support Structures” is set to be held on Friday, 17 March 2024 at the Leonidas Zervas Auditorium of the National Hellenic Research Foundation. The focus of the event will be presenting the results of the ten projects included in the Action “SKILLS CENTRES”.

All Acts by Bodies participating in the framework of the Invitation “Modernising business support services” of the 'Competitiveness' Programme have been included.

The competition stage for the 17th RegioStars​ awards of the European Commission for 2024 has begun. Applications for participation may be submitted through 31 May 2024.

The new version of the file showing the planned Invitations for submission of proposals under the 'Competitiveness' Programme 2021-2027 has been announced.

The process of electronic submission of applications for funding under the Actions “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New SMEs” and “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New Tourism SMEs” through the Integrated State Aid Management Information System has concluded. A total of 9,823 applications for funding of an overall budget of €2,856,200,858.51 and Public Expenditure of €1,528,024,776.70 were submitted.

Interested parties are informed that the induction of European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) Bodies which constitute Greece’s participation in the European network, within the framework of the Invitation “Development of Network for European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHS) funded through the “Digital Europe” Programme” for up to 50% of funding, has been completed.

The pre-publication of the Action “Support for Technology Transfer Structures 2021-2027” of the 'Competitiveness' Programme NSRF 2021-2027 has been announced. The programme was planned after the recent implementation of the Actions “Maturation of the Technology Transfer Ecosystem in Greece” and “Funding for the Operation of Technology Transfer Structures and Actions”, funded during the NSRF 2014-2020 programming period. At their conclusion, the previous two Actions had generated vital momentum and prospects for further development in the Technology Transfer sector. The sector has received major support in recent years, for example with the passing of legislation governing spinoffs (Law 4864/2021) and Higher Education (Law 4957/2022), Actions for the promotion of entrepreneurship, developments in the innovation ecosystem, the participation of equity funds-of-funds and the introduction of new financial instruments to enable technology transfers etc.

Interested parties are informed that after the budget for the Actions “Green Transition for SMEs” and “Green Productive Investment for SMEs”, increased by 20%, has been exhausted, no further applications for funding in plan form will be processed by the iSAMIS.

The Ministry of Development announced the Pre-publication of the Action of Strategic Importance “Research – Innovate” of the 'Competitiveness' Programme (NSRF 2021 – 2027), which will be implemented by the EYDE EK. The primary aim of the Action is the connection of research and innovation with entrepreneurship, to strengthen the competitiveness, productivity and extroversion of Greek enterprises in international markets and transition to innovative entrepreneurship, increasing domestic added value.

The Decision to amend the Frequently Asked Questions – Answers for the Action “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New SMEs” of the Programme “Competitiveness 2021-2027” has been published, to inform interested parties.

The third (3rd) amendment to the Invitation for submission of applications for funding under the Action “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New Tourism SMEs” has been published, extending the deadline for electronic submission applications for funding through Friday 22/03/2024 at 15:00.
