The process of electronic submission of applications for funding under the Actions “Basic Digital Transformation for SMEs”, “Advanced Digital Transformation for SMEs”, and “Cutting-Edge Digital Transformation for SMEs” through the Integrated State Aid Management Information System has concluded. A total of 2,837 applications for funding of an overall budget of €250,542,980.80 and Public Expenditure of €120,245,843.16 were submitted.

The process of electronic submission of applications for funding under the Actions “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New SMEs” and “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New Tourism SMEs” through the Integrated State Aid Management Information System has concluded. A total of 9,823 applications for funding of an overall budget of €2,856,200,858.51 and Public Expenditure of €1,528,024,776.70 were submitted.

Interested parties are informed that the induction of European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) Bodies which constitute Greece’s participation in the European network, within the framework of the Invitation “Development of Network for European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHS) funded through the “Digital Europe” Programme” for up to 50% of funding, has been completed.

The pre-publication of the Action “Support for Technology Transfer Structures 2021-2027” of the 'Competitiveness' Programme NSRF 2021-2027 has been announced. The programme was planned after the recent implementation of the Actions “Maturation of the Technology Transfer Ecosystem in Greece” and “Funding for the Operation of Technology Transfer Structures and Actions”, funded during the NSRF 2014-2020 programming period. At their conclusion, the previous two Actions had generated vital momentum and prospects for further development in the Technology Transfer sector. The sector has received major support in recent years, for example with the passing of legislation governing spinoffs (Law 4864/2021) and Higher Education (Law 4957/2022), Actions for the promotion of entrepreneurship, developments in the innovation ecosystem, the participation of equity funds-of-funds and the introduction of new financial instruments to enable technology transfers etc.

Investors are informed that the deadline for submission of Applications for Funding under the Package of Actions “Digital Transformation for SMEs” of the 'Competitiveness' Programme NSRF 2021-2027, specifically under the Actions “Basic Digital Transformation for SMEs”, “Advanced Digital Transformation for SMEs” and “Cutting-Edge Digital Transformation for SMEs” will expire on 22/03/2024.

The fourth (4th) amendment to the Invitation for submission of applications for funding under the Action “Cutting-Edge Digital Transformation for SMEs” of the 'Competitiveness' Programme NSRF 2021-2027 has been published; according to the amendment, the Invitation will remain active until exhaustion of the available budget per Region Category and in any case through 22/03/2024 at 15:00. The amendment also includes changes to ANNEX VIII “CUMULATIVE DECLARATION AND DE MINIMIS GRANT TABLE MODEL”

The Ministry of Development announced the Pre-publication of the Action of Strategic Importance “Research – Innovate” of the 'Competitiveness' Programme (NSRF 2021 – 2027), which will be implemented by the EYDE EK. The primary aim of the Action is the connection of research and innovation with entrepreneurship, to strengthen the competitiveness, productivity and extroversion of Greek enterprises in international markets and transition to innovative entrepreneurship, increasing domestic added value.

The fifth (5th) amendment to the Invitation for the Action “Basic Digital Transformation for SMEs” of the 'Competitiveness' Programme NSRF 2021-2027 has been published; according to the amendment, the Invitation will remain active until exhaustion of the available budget per Region Category and in any case through 22/03/2024 at 15:00. The amendment also includes changes to ANNEX V “CUMULATIVE DECLARATION AND DE MINIMIS GRANT TABLE MODEL”.

The third (3rd) Amendment to the invitation for submission of applications for funding under the Action “Cutting-Edge Digital Transformation for SMEs” of the 'Competitiveness' Programme NSRF 2021-2027 has been published; according to the amendment, regulation EU 1407/2013 (De Minimis) is replaced at all points in which it is mentioned in the Invitation and the Annexes thereof by Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/2831 of 13 December 2023, which shall enter into force on 01/01/2024.

The third (3rd) amendment to the Invitation for the Action “Green Transition for SMEs” of the 'Competitiveness' Programme has been published; according to the amendment, the total amount of De Minimis aid received by a single enterprise in the past, including any funding from this Action, must not exceed €300,000 within any given three-year period. The amendment to the Invitation includes further changes to the provisions concerning the beneficiaries of the Action, the evaluation process and criteria, the required supporting documents for the disbursement of the aid etc.

The second (2nd) amendment to the Invitation for the Action “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New Tourism SMEs” has been published; according to the amendment, the areas in Annex X: SPECIAL SUPPORT AREAS (remote areas and small islands) based on Hellenic Post Postal Codes are replaced by the areas included in Council Directive 81/645/EEC of 20 July 1981 concerning the Community list of less-favoured farming areas within the meaning of Directive 75/268/EEC (Greece).

If the above threshold is exceeded with the granting of new de minimis aid, this aid may not be subject to the benefits of the regulation.

The Decision to Include the Entrepreneurship Fund III (TEPIX III) in the 'Competitiveness' Programme of the NSRF 2021-2027 has been published. The objective of the Fund is creating financing means to support and develop small and medium enterprises, small midcaps, midcaps and newly established enterprises, as well as facilitating their access to sources of funding.

The Ministry of National Economy and Finance published the announcement for the Action “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New Tourism SMEs”; the action concerns support for entrepreneurship in the tourism sector through the establishment of new micro-, small and medium enterprises with selected activity code numbers (ACN), encouraging entrepreneurship for enterprises that strengthen the capabilities of Greece’ tourism industry and provide reliable, high-quality services that will contribute to the enrichment of Greece’s tourism product and generate new jobs.

The Ministry of National Economy and Finance published the announcement for the Action “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New Small and Medium Enterprises”; the action concerns support for investment plans regarding under-establishment or newly established SMEs (except for those with activity code numbers in retail, the restaurant industry and tourism), which will invest their own resources into their respective sectors and generate new jobs.

The 7th Meeting of the EPAnEK Monitoring Committee came to a successful conclusion; topics presented at the meeting included the progress of implementation, the vital support for entrepreneurship through successive crises and the support for Greece’s infrastructure (in the research, energy, ICT, tourism and culture sectors) as well as the concluding forecast.
