The aim is to support enterprises & employees in order to address workforce shortages as well as skill shortcomings regarding the development and production of critical technologies in STEP actions. This goal will be achieved by developing knowledge and skills in private-sector enterprises (SMEs and large enterprises) that are already or intend to become part of or major actors in the value chains of critical new technology sectors: biotechnology, circular economy, cutting-edge technologies, green technologies and energy-saving technologies. In addition, this will require the development of skills among the self-employed (professionals) or employees who can support STEP projects.
