“Produce Here” action pre-publication and consultation

“Produce Here” action pre-publication and consultation

Pre-publication of the new action entitled “Produce here” with a total public expenditure of €50 million, which will be implemented using resources from the 2021-2027 Competitiveness Programme, was announced. The Action seeks to bolster domestic production, bolster exports and improve the international competitiveness of Greek SMEs, especially in sectors where there is an imbalance between domestic supply and demand in the market. The Action is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and national resources in the context of the 2021-2027 NSRF.

PUBLIC CONSULTATION – SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS

This pre-publication has been put out to public consultation to enable potential beneficiaries and the wider business community to submit proposals to improve the terms under which the Action is implemented and to better prepare the detailed call. Interested parties, businesses and market representatives are invited to send their proposals, comments and observations by 15 December 2025 to the email: paragoume_edo@mou.gr

 

 

Eligible Enterprises

Participation in the Action is open to existing micro, small and medium-sized enterprises which are primarily active in the processing sector and related sectors, where domestic supply is below demand. These enterprises can submit investment plans to improve and expand their production capacity, to develop export-oriented products and to bolster their international presence.

 

Eligible Expenses

Among other things, this Action covers expenses relating to:

  • Modernisation of production equipment
  • Technological upgrades and adoption of Industry 4.0 solutions
  • Research and purchase of know-how
  • Quality certifications and compliance with international standards
  • Branding, redesign and product promotion
  • Coverage of payrolling costs for new specialist staff

 

Budget & Project Duration

  • Minimum subsidised budget: €100,000
  • Maximum subsidised budget: €400,000
  • Maximum public expenditure limit: €200,000
  • Project implementation period: 24 months from the date on which the decision approving the evaluation results is issued.

 

Aid rate: 

Funding will be made available in the context of the De Minimis Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2023/2831) with a 50% public component and a 50% private component.

Submission and evaluation of investment plans

Investment plans will be submitted electronically via iSAMIS and the evaluation procedure will be comparative based on criteria such as:

  • short-term liquidity / solvency ratios for the undertaking;
  • the option to secure private participation by scoring the availability of the capital of partners / shareholders and/or the undertaking itself.
  • the description, clarity, completeness and viability of the investment plan and how realistic the implementation schedule is, etc.
