The Invitation for Submission of Applications for Funding of research projects under the single Action for Research & Innovation “Research – Innovate” of the Competitiveness Programme (NSRF 2021-2027) was signed by the Alternate Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis, an announcement by the Ministry of National Economy and Finance stated.
The programme promotes the connection of research and innovation with entrepreneurship, to strengthen the competitiveness, productivity and extroversion of Greek enterprises in international markets.
The Action “Research – Innovate” is an Act of Strategic Importance in the framework of the ‘Competitiveness’ Programme, with an overall budget of €300 million.
The Action focuses on providing incentives for private investment in research, technological development and innovation through SMEs, and economic growth based on know-how and sustainable specialisation. In addition, it aims to incorporate new knowledge and innovation in existing and new products, services, production systems and value chains, increase the international competitiveness of Greek enterprises and strengthen their export profile, generate jobs for specialised, highly qualified people (Brain Gain) and connect academia with the productive sector.
Applications for funding under the Action may be submitted by individual SMEs, groups of enterprises as well as joint ventures of enterprises and research organisations.
Submitted plans must fall under one of the following intervention categories:
a) Research and Development by Enterprises
b) Joint Ventures of Enterprises and Research Organisations
c) Utilisation of Research Results
d) Seal of Excellence for enterprises active in the 8 sectors of the National Smart Specialisation Strategy 2021-2027 (ESEE).
The Action will be implemented by the Special Research and Innovation Action Management and Implementation Service of the Ministry of Development. It is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union through the Competitiveness Programme (NSRF 2021-2027).
Applications for funding under all the interventions of the Action may be submitted to the Integrated State Aid Management Information System (iSAMIS) starting Thursday, 06/06/2024 at 12:00.
