1st amendment to the Invitation for the Action “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New SMEs”

1st amendment to the Invitation for the Action “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New SMEs”

 

The first (1st) amendment to the Invitation for submission of applications for funding under the Action “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New SMEs” has been published; according to the amendment, the total amount of De Minimis aid received by a single enterprise in the past, including any funding from this Action, must not exceed €300,000 within any given three-year period. If the above threshold is exceeded with the granting of new de minimis aid, this aid may not be subject to the benefits of the regulation.

Furthermore, the amendment removes the following ACNs from Annex II “ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES (ACN)” of the Detailed Invitation:

  • 68.20.11.01 Rental services for domestic-use property
  • 68.20.11.02 Short-term property rental services (airbnb)
  • 68.20.11.03 Long-term furnished property rental services, without customer care services
  • 68.20.11.04 Property timeshare services
  • 77.11.10 Car and light motor vehicle rent and financing lease services
  • 85.51.10.02 Water sports teaching services and
  • 85.51.10.03 Diving teaching services
  • 93.29.11.04 Water game operation services (paddle boats, canoes and other similar recreational products)
  • 93.29.11.05 Beach umbrella and/or beach (plage) chair rental services
  • 93.29.11.02 Sea bathing operation services

 

The amendment also makes certain changes to the terms and conditions for participation in the Action, funding percentages, the evaluation process and criteria etc.

The action concerns aid for investment plans of SMEs that are new or in the process of being established (except those with activity code numbers in retail, catering and industry), which will invest own resources in their respective sectors and create new jobs.
