The start of operation of the Entrepreneurship Fund (TEPIX III)<\/strong> of the ‘Competitiveness’ Programme has been announced. The announcement follows the signing of the 12 operational agreements between the Hellenic Development Bank and each of the commercial bank partners.<\/p>\n

TEPIX III will possess an overall budget of \u20ac500 million and is expected to provide loans of up to \u20ac2.2 billion -by leverage through the banking system- with notably favourable terms, expanding the number of funded SMEs and their lending perimeter.<\/p>\n

The TEPIX III Guarantee Fund consists of two individual Funds<\/strong>, the Guarantee Fund<\/strong> and the Loan Fund<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

The Guarantee Fund<\/strong> provides security against credit risk by serving as guarantor for all eligible enterprises. More specifically, it will guarantee <\/strong>from 70%<\/strong> up to 80%<\/strong> of investment loans (from \u20ac10,000 up to \u20ac10 million), working capital and revolving credit loans (from \u20ac10,000 up to \u20ac500,000). Furthermore, it will subsidise interest rates for two years, up to two percentage points for enterprises in Attica and the South Aegean and up to three points for enterprises in the other Regions of Greece.\u00a0 No physical collateral will be required for loans up to \u20ac50,000.<\/p>\n

The Loan Fund<\/strong> will offer loans with 40% of the amount interest-free and subsidisation of 3% on interest for the remainder (60%) for 2 years. Overall, the loans that will be provided through the TEPIX III Loan Fund may have up to 70% reduced interest rates for the first 2 years. Investment loans will have durations of 2 to 12 years, with a grace period of 24 months. Working capital loans will have durations of 2 to 5 years, with a grace period of 12 months, in which the beneficiary enterprise will be required to pay only interest.<\/p>\n
