Applications for <strong>participation may be submitted through 31 May 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Each year, RegioStars awards the best completed projects funded through the cohesion policy.<\/p>\n<p>To see the application submission Guide, click <a href=\"https:\/\/21-27.antagonistikotita.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/REGIOSTARS_GUIDE_FOR_APPLICANTS_2024_EL.pdf\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>\u200b<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Beneficiaries for all projects funded through the cohesion policy may submit applications to compete in the following <strong>five categories <\/strong>connected with the policy objectives of programming period 2021-2027:<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Competitive and smart Europe<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2013 Promotion of competitiveness, innovation and economic resilience<br \/>\n<strong>A Green Europe<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2013 \u200bThe green transition as a driver of regional growth<br \/>\n<strong>A Connected Europe<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2013 Strengthening mobility and connectivity between regions<br \/>\n<strong>A social and inclusive Europe<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2013 Towards a Europe without discrimination, which makes the most of regional talent<br \/>\n<strong>A Europe closer to the citizens<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2013 Promotion of sustainable development for all territories<\/p>\n<p>An independent committee of academics will select up to 5 finalists per category. The finalists will then go on to compete in a Final Round during the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels. The award ceremony will also be held during that week in Brussels.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2008, the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/regional_policy\/en\/regio-stars-awards\/\">REGIOSTARS<\/a> competition has awarded co-funded projects for their excellence and innovative approaches to regional development. Last year\u2019s competition was the most expansive to date, with 228 applications.
